What they were up against
Folds of Honor (FOH) is a national charity that provides scholarships to the spouses and children of fallen soldiers and those disabled in combat. The audiences for the organization are potential applicants, individual donors and corporate sponsors. The FOH Minnesota chapter is focused on two initiatives – raising money to award scholarships to applicants and creating awareness of the organization. Donations had been exceeding the number of scholarships awarded, so the goal was to continue building momentum on the donations side while awarding more college scholarships to applicants.
What we did to help
We built a multi-faceted brand awareness campaign targeted at scholarship recipients and their families with the goal of increasing their visibility and awarding more scholarships. Through a refreshed brand look and feel, we developed a social and digital campaign and provided collateral to reach new potential corporate sponsors and donor base.
A year after running the campaign, the number of scholarships awarded more than doubled. Social presence increased by 159% and web traffic reached an all-time high through increased sessions by over 750%. The campaign also drove a record year for donations exceeding $1.2 million.
