What they were up against.

Alexis Bailly Vineyard is Minnesota’s oldest operating winery, founded in 1973 with a pioneering spirit to produce wines from grapes grown in Minnesota.

What we did to help.

Yamamoto began designing labels for founder David Bailly in 1979 and continued to produce award-winning designs as the winery grew and expanded vintages under Nan Bailly, David’s daughter, who took over leadership of the enterprise in the 1980s. Today, almost all of the vintages display labels designed by the agency. Like the wine itself, the labels only get better with age.

Work we did:

  • Design
AB white wine

AB Bottles
AB red wine

AB Ratafia bottles

What happened next.

Based on the successful introduction of more Minnesota-grown varietals, Nan Bailly has grown the business overall and expanded the Alexis Bailly product offering to keep pace with overall market trends.

Product packaging has been a key part of expressing the Alexis Bailly brand as it has expanded into new categories and offerings. Many of the labels have sustained their relevance over the decades.
