What they were up against.

Vuzix is a leading developer and supplier of smart glasses and video eyewear in the consumer, enterprise and industrial markets. The company’s products—personal display devices that offer users a portable, high-quality viewing experience—provide solutions for mobility, wearable displays and virtual and augmented reality. Vuzix had decided to focus more of its efforts on the enterprise market, larger customers and larger partnership opportunities to capitalize on the market interest in smart glasses. Vuzix’s first-to-market products continued to have an advantage over competitor’s prototype offerings. The challenge was to build sales immediately for the M100 model and to shape the pipeline for the M300/3000 models that would follow.

What we did to help.

We created a two-phased marketing approach comprised of brand development, audience segmentation, positioning and messaging in Phase 1, followed by a launch campaign for Phase 2 including a booth presence at the Consumer Electronics Show, PR recommendations, collateral/sales materials, social media content and support, lead gen emails and print advertising. We also created digital landing pages, website updates, product demonstration and testimonial videos and digital search.

What happened next.

Vuzix has carved out a strong base of customers in the augmented reality sector. The company reported that the number of pilot programs involving its M300 Smart Glasses device has reached 350, with a global reach spanning 45 countries. Vuzix continues to develop partnerships in the B2B space that position it well against much larger players in the category. The company unveiled its Vuzix Blade® AR Smart Glasses at CES this year and became and became a top investor pick for 2018.
